Memo
To: All Managers
From: Terry Lee
Re: Questionnaires
Date: April 11, 2002
Last week we distributed
a short questionnaire to all employees.
The purpose of this questionnaire is to
determine the need for training. We recognize
that employees have different levels of
skill and knowledge concerning technology
and software. With the completed surveys,
we can more accurately assess the need for
and type of training.
Please collect all questionnaires
from your employees by April 15. Before
giving them to my assistant, Charles, please
make sure that none of your employees has
included his or her name. It is very important
that these remain anonymous.
By May 15, my department
will release a findings report and proposal
for training. If the proposal is approved,
training programs will be recommended for
certain employees.

Questions

HURLEY IVIOTORCYCLES
released a recall today for more than
2 million tires. Over the past year,
three styles of tires are claimed
to be responsible for 28 accidents,
six including fatalities. In most
cases, motorcycles driven at high
speeds crashed when a tire, usually
in the rear, blew up. The cause has
not yet been determined, but experts
believe that the tires have a faulty
outside layer which may come off under
high velocity or high heat conditions.
Unlike most companies, Hurley manufactures
and produces the tires for all Hurley
models. Officials announced that they
will immediately replace all affected
tires.
